Messi stay's His Childhood Club one more season

Lionel Messi has Reportedly stay at barcelona one more season. It's the end of something bigger.

The Argentinian forward handed in a transfer request last week but reversed his decision after a row broke out over his contract.

The 33-year-old has been with the Catalan side since he was 13 but handed in a shock transfer request last week.

Lionel Messi: "Bartomeu told me that by the end of the season, I can decide whether I want to go or whether I want to stay and in the end he didn't keep his promise."

Lionel Messi: “I believed that the club needed new young players and that my time was over here.”

Lionel Messi: "I'm going to stay because the president told me that the only way to leave was to pay the €700M clause - that's impossible. Then there was another way that was to go to trial. I would never go to trial against Barca because it is the club I love."

Throughout the year I had been telling the president that I wanted to leave, that the time had come to seek new goals and new directions in my career,” explained Messi. “He told me all the time: ‘We'll talk, not now, this and that’, but nothing. The president did not give me a clue at what he was really saying.

Messi: "I would never take the club of my life to court. That is why I'm staying."

Messi: "“The whole family began crying, my children did not want to leave Barcelona, nor did they want to change schools."

So it's the end of top transfer rumour's of the Football World.
