Real Madrid enter the fourth round of the league today amid concerns over their inability to find real form in the last three matches and the injuries that have plagued the players in succession. In the away match, the opponents are Levante, who is relatively weak. If they win, the defending champions could improve their place in the league table with ten points, while Real are currently fourth in the table.
Injuries that have plagued key players since the start of the season still haven’t left Real. After Eden Hazard, Tony Kroos, Eder Militao and Mariano Diaz, the team also lost the services of Dani Carvajal and Alvaro Odriozola due to injury. They have been replaced by junior teammate Chest.
Real's main concern is who will land on the right side of the back row in the absence of Carvajal and Odriozola when it comes to the starting XI. As previously tested, Nacho and Lucas Vazquez are likely to land one of these. In the absence of Kroos, Valverde, a young player who has played brilliantly in the last two games, and Luka Modric, who is outscoring his age, will join Casemiro in the starting XI. The formation Zidane which included two strikers, is unlikely to continue today as it did in the last two games. Instead, Benzema is likely to be replaced by youngsters Vinicius Jr. and Marco Asensio, who came on as substitutes in the previous match. Apart from this, it remains to be seen whether Zidane will mature for other trials in the first XI.
The main challenge facing Real Madrid is the forwards who are worried about not being able to find the goal. Real are aiming to win by a large margin against Levante, who have lost both of their last three matches. Fans want nothing less than success.
The match will start at 7.30 pm Indian time at La Ceramica Stadium, Levante's ground. There will be no transmission in India
