UCL: Rennes Kneeling in front of Chelsea's Defence..

Chelsea beat French side Rennes in the Champions League.  Chelsea defeated Rennes by 1 goals to nil in the second half.  The referee showed a red card to Dulbert, who conceded two penalties in the first half.  Chelsea have not conceded a goal in three Champions League games.

Werner scored two goals for Chelsea while Tommy Abraham scored one goal.  Both of Werner's goals came from penalties.

The first penalty was awarded for fouling Werner in the penalty box, while the second penalty was awarded to Dulbert for touching the ball with his hand in the penalty box.  The referee examined the second penalty and awarded Dulbert a second yellow card and then a red card.  It was then that Tommy scored Chelsea's third goal in the second half from a Reese James cross.

The Blues' defensive improvements were on display once again on Wednesday as they picked up another victory at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have now kept five successive clean sheets in all competitions for the first time since 2010. That run, from September to October, came under Carlo Ancelotti in a season that saw the club finish second in the Premier League.
